ABAKA’s logo depicts the struggle of the ordinary Boholano against all forms of oppression and injustice. The symbolism of Bohol hero Francisco Dagohoy highlights the Boholano traits of courage and deep love country in line with ABAKA’s vision of uplifting the live of the ordinary folk. Dagohoy fought againt social injustice and abuses by persons in authority during his time.
The name DAGOHOY is derived from “Dagon a Hoyohoy” which refers to an amulet, denoting resilience, which literally suggests floating in air. This describes the legendary exploits of DAGOHOY who led the longest revolution in Philippine history. His ressistance spanned the flames of patriotism that inspired the ideal of present day ABAKA.

We are a community organization and a voluntary movement for all Boholanos to participate in the grassroots campaign for true and lasting change.Â
We are a partner of Hugpong ng Pagbabago (HNP) of Mayor Sara Duterte-Carpio and therefore supportive of whatever programs and activities that the Party may initiate towards nation-building where the benefits are intended for all.
